IMAAM is deeply saddened by the tragic acts of violence in San Bernardino, California and Savannah, GA. Our hearts go out to the victims and families affected by these horrific events. The Islamic faith condemns acts of violence especially taking another’s life. Terror has no religion. Prayers and services whether at mosques, churches, synagogues and temples or at home can aid the healing process, and it is important to come together as a community to support one another. We urge everyone to volunteer and perform good deeds always but especially during these acts of calamity. IMAAM plans to continue working with local interfaith groups, law enforcement, and public policy in efforts to enrich our community and hopes we can put an end to mass shootings occurring in our beloved nation.
