Overview

The International Islamic Economics and Finance Conference for Sustainable Development (IFESDC) is a pioneering annual gathering of academics, industry experts, policymakers, and practitioners dedicated to advancing sustainable development through the principles of Islamic economics and finance.

As the first-ever conference of its kind in the United States, IFESDC represents a groundbreaking initiative to bring Islamic finance and economics to the forefront of discussions on global poverty eradication, inclusive economic growth, and sustainable development.

Taking place at Preston Auditorium, the World Bank HQ, Washington, DC, USA, on Wed, July 15 & Thu, July 16, 2026, the conference provides a unique platform for thought leaders to share research, explore innovative solutions, and foster dialogue on the transformative potential of Islamic finance, the halal industry, and ethical economic practices.

We invite academics, researchers, and practitioners to submit papers for IFESDC 2026 with the theme:
